Shipping & Returns

We sell and send books to customers to destinations all around the world, and although we do our best to ensure that everything goes smoothly there are occasional unforeseen issues.  We are currently not offering shipping to countries in the EU due to ongoing issues with delayed and lost parcels - if you are in the EU and would like to order please get in touch via email avaloniabooks at gmail dot com.

Delivery

Avalonia aims to process orders placed through this website within 2-3 working days. Delivery times will vary according to region and country; typically customers in the UK & Ireland can except to receive books within 5-7 working days after placing their order. For customers in the rest of Europe, Canada, the USA and other parts of the world it might take longer.

Avalonia uses Royal Mail to dispatch orders from our Somerset (England, UK) office.  The majority of orders placed on this website will be dispatched by our digital printers in Europe, the USA and Australia, using local services. This greatly reduces the environmental impact of our books, and also in some instances saves customers the cost of international shipping costs.

Shipping costs will automatically be calculated and added.  We do not aim to profit from shipping costs, and in many instances, it will be lower than the actual cost of shipping.

Problems

Not yet received your order?
If you have not received your order within 14 days of placing it, please get in touch - however please note, most services do not consider parcels to be missing until 20, and sometimes 30 days after shipment.  It is very rare for books to go missing, but when they do we will aim to resolve the issue for you to the best of our ability.

South America & Africa

Due to numerous issues with missing and severely delayed books in these regions we are now only able to ship to countries in South America, such as Mexico, Brazil and Chile and Africa (including South Africa), using tracked or signed-for services .  All shipments to these countries are at the customer / recipient's risk.

Double check the delivery address!
Avalonia will not be held responsible for lost parcels due to incorrect or incomplete address details provided by the customer. Please ensure that your address details are up to date and complete when you place your order.  If a parcel is returned to us due to incorrect address details, the customer will be responsible for the additional shipping costs.

Faulty or Damaged Book(s)

Books shipped directly from the office are double checked before they are securely packaged to ensure they are in perfect condition before sending out to a customer.  All other books are sent directly from our printers, and should be in perfect condition when shipped through their professional services.  However, on occasion a damaged or otherwise faulty book slips through the system, if this should happen to you, please email admin @ avaloniabooks.co.uk with details, if possible including a photograph showing the problem.

"The ability to summon aid from the Invisible World was the acme of the magical art, promising direct access to preternatural power and knowledge. Difficult, dangerous, and potentially damnable as it was, traffic with spiritual beings and intelligences, whether angelic, demonic or “other” (nature spirits, fairies and the dead) was what set the conjuror apart from other mortals.

― Jim Baker, The Cunning Man's Handbook

“The sin which is unpardonable is knowingly and wilfully to reject truth, to fear knowledge lest that knowledge pander not to thy prejudices.”
― Aleister Crowley, Magick: Liber Aba: Book 4
